Steelers vs Saints

Steelers vs Saints: The New Orleans Saints can lock up the NFC’s No. 1 seed with a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Mercedes-Benz Supderdome Sunday afternoon. The Saints have emerged as one of the better defenses in the NFL over the last six weeks and will need to keep up that level of play to get by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to enter the postseason and do so with some momentum after losing three straight games. Coming off of a win against the New England Patriots of all teams it doesn’t get any easier today as they visit the New Orleans Saints, who have the best record in the NFL Football Game.

The Saints average two takeaways per game at home this season. The Steelers average slightly more than that per game on the road, though there is a bit of an outlier with the stunning six turnovers in the opener. But they also had games with three and four turnovers in Jacksonville and Denver. And the Saints have the ninth-most takeaways in the NFL Football Game.

The New Orleans Saints are coming off three straight road games, returning to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this Sunday to host the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Saints went 2-1 in those contests, despite some offensive inconsistencies that caused them to average less than 17 points during that three game stretch. A primary reason that they pulled off those two wins was because of the standout play of their defense.

This might be the biggest game on the NFL. The Pittsburgh Steelers will try to keep their playoff hopes alive on Sunday when they travel to Louisiana to take on the NFC’s top-seeded New Orleans Saints. After losing three consecutive games, the Steelers picked up their biggest win of the season last Sunday over the New England Patriots.

Rams vs Cardinals

Rams vs Cardinals: The Los Angeles Rams will look to get back on the track on the road when they take on the Arizona Cardinals Sunday afternoon. Los Angeles pounded the Cards back in September at home 34-0 in a game that saw Sam Bradford under center for the road team and Todd Gurley running for threetouchdowns.

Los Angeles (11-3) has to be a little shell-shocked right now coming off losses to the Bears and Eagles, which happened for two different reasons. The team only managed six points in the loss at Chicago putting up just over 200 yards of offense to go with four turnovers. The defense sprung a few leaks on the ground in that one whereas the secondary was beaten a lot by the Eagles last week. Gurley has not been as effective as of late and is now dealing with a knee injury although he should be able to play. Sean McVay has the challenge of trying to get his guys to believe in themselves again.

Arizona (3-11) has lost two straight and five of six as the Cardinals are getting ready for the offseason. Could their head coach be a potential one-and-done with the team? Josh Rosen, predictably, is having some up-and-down moments this season. The Cardinals made a change at offensive coordinator earlier in the season, which briefly helped.

Even though we are getting towards the end of the regular season, there are still potentially situational things to look at in each matchup. The Rams probably would have slept walked through this game if they hadn’t lost their previous two. Now I think you’ll get a solid effort from them.

including a victory over the Rams, and is playing well. The Cardinals have the worst record in the NFC and are tied for the worst in the NFL with the Raiders. I don’t think they are tanking so I look for them to put forth a good effort at home for the final time this season.

Turnovers have become a major issue for the Rams, who have had two or more in four straight contests. During this current losing streak, they’ve coughed it up seven times against the Bears and Eagles. Jared Goff, in particular, has been emblematic of the struggles. The Pro Bowl quarterback has just one touchdown pass in his last three games compared to seven interceptions.

But it goes beyond the mistakes as he has completed just 55 percent of his attempts and has posted a 51.3 QB rating during this span. It’s not like Todd Gurley is blameless either as he’s managed just 76 rushing yards from his last 23 carries. He’s expected to suit up as he deals with knee inflammation. Gurley has been held to less than 60 yards of offense in three of the last four games. If the Rams don’t go crazy in this one then the fan base will get majorly worried considering the potential the team has.

When the Rams signed Ndamukong Suh, the national pundits branded this as one of the best defenses in the NFL. Suh has been solid this season with 51 tackles and 3.5 sacks, but he’s also freed some stuff up for Aaron Donald, who leads the league with 16.5 sacks. There’s no question that the front four has lived up to the hype, but cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aquib Talib have been massive disappointments it seems.

Talib has been injured, so he’s got a little bit of an excuse, but once again a lot more was expected. The Cardinals have scored just 47 points over their last four games and don’t have a good offensive line. Donald and Suh should be able to eat in this one.The Cardinals have two weeks left with the staff as assembled, so we’ll see how much fight is left in the team.

This is also the last home game of 2018, so we’ll see what type of turnout there is for the Cardinals.Let’s check out everything you need to know about today’s game.

Redskins vs Titans

Henry has run for 408 yards and six touchdowns over his last two games, close to half of his season total in those categories. His Titans will take the field against the depleted Redskins (7-7) on Saturday.

The Redskins remain in the playoff hunt and sit just a half game behind the Vikings for a spot in the postseason. They saved their season last week by sneaking out a 16-13 win over the Jaguars to end a four-game losing streak, but their once-promising campaign has come at a price. Quarterbacks Alex Smith and Colt McCoy have suffered season-ending injuries, and third-stringer Mark Sanchez has had his share of struggles, giving Josh Johnson, who had played in just 28 games in his career — all but two coming between 2009-11 — before this season, the reigns at quarterback.

What time is Redskins vs. Titans?

Redskins vs. Titans will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 22, and, for the second straight week, will be one of two NFL games on a Saturday. Ravens vs. Chargers is scheduled to be the nightcap at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Where will Redskins vs. Titans be played?

Tennessee has gone 5-1 at home this season, and its favorable end of the schedule features four of its last five games at Nissan Stadium. Washington has been solid on the road this year; its 4-3 away record is an improvement over its home mark.

How to stream Redskins-Titans

The Redskins-Titans matchup can be streamed on fuboTV (7-day free trial). It will also be airing on NFL Network. FOX pregame host Curt Menefee will be on the call, along with Nate Burleson, Steve Mariucci and Melissa Stark.

Who is favored between the Redskins and the Titans?

The odds are stacked against the Redskins on Saturday, as the Titans are listed as the 10-point favorite, per Vegas Insider. It’s also not expected to be a high-scoring game, with the over/under sitting at just 37.

Chargers vs Ravens

Chargers vs Ravens odds, line: Picks, predictions from advanced computer model on 16-6 roll

A game with massive implications for the AFC playoff picture kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET Saturday when the Los Angeles Chargers host the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers are 11-3, but are only the No. 5 seed because they’re in the same division as the 11-3 Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Ravens are 8-6 and own the No. 6 seed, but could fall out of the NFL playoff picture with a loss. L.A. is a four-point home favorite in the latest Ravens vs. Chargers odds, with the over-under at 43. Before making any Ravens vs. Chargers picks and predictions, you need to see what the SportsLine Projection Model says.

SportsLine’s proprietary computer model went 176-80 straight up last season and beat over 95 percent of CBS Sports Office Pool players in 2016 and ’17. It also performed better than 98 percent of experts tracked by NFLPickWatch.com during that span. Additionally, it went 48-34 on A-rated picks against the spread, and $100 bettors who have followed it the past two seasons are up nearly $4,000.

The model has continued to nail its top-rated picks in 2018, entering Week 16 on a blistering 16-6 run. For the season, it is now 30-15 on all top-rated picks, extending its two-year run to a strong 78-49. And when it comes to all straight-up picks, the model is 147-75 on the season, ranking in the top five on NFLPickWatch.com. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has simulated Ravens vs. Chargers (stream live on fuboTV) 10,000 times and the results are in. We can tell you that the model is leaning toward the over, and it has also generated a point-spread pick that hits in well over 50 percent of simulations. You can only see that one at SportsLine.

The computer knows that L.A. is hitting its stride as the season winds down. The Chargers are tied with the Chiefs for the top record in the AFC and are in play for postseason home-field advantage.

Veteran quarterback Philip Rivers is having an impressive season, accounting for 31 touchdowns against just eight interceptions. The team should be bolstered by the return of running back Melvin Gordon (knee), who has 802 yards rushing on 5.2 yards per carry and nine touchdowns, plus 44 catches for 453 yards in just 10 games.

L.A.’s defense is top 10 against the run and pass, and star defensive end Joey Bosa(four sacks) has only played the past five games. Fellow defensive end Melvin Ingramhas seven sacks and rookie safety Derwin James has a team-high 93 tackles.

But just because the Chargers are firing on all cylinders doesn’t mean they’ll cover the spread against the surging Ravens on Saturday night.

No team allows fewer yards (290 per game) or points (18.1) than the Ravens. Linebackers control the show, with Matt Judon, Za’Darius Smith and the ageless Terrell Suggs each with seven sacks.

The offense has turned it around with quarterback Lamar Jackson, averaging 25.6 points in his five starts compared to 20.8 the previous eight weeks. Jackson has 818 yards passing with five touchdowns and is the team’s leading rusher with 566 yards (5.0 per carry).

Since joining the rotation five weeks ago, undrafted rookie running back Gus Edwards has 486 yards and two scores. The Ravens rank No. 2 in the NFL in rushing at 142 yards per game.

It should be a perfect day for football from Honolulu as Hawaii meets Louisiana Techin the 2018 Hawaii Bowl. Kickoff from Aloha Stadium is 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. This game should be a stark contrast in styles, as the potent Warriors offense will try to overcome the defensive-minded Bulldogs (7-5). Hawaii (8-5) is a one-point favorite after the line fell as far as a pick’em and the over-under is 61 in the latest Hawaii vs. Louisiana Tech odds. Before you make any Hawaii vs. Louisiana Tech picks and predictions for the 2018 SoFi Hawaii Bowl, check out what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times, and those who have followed it have seen massive returns. Over the past three years, this proprietary computer model has generated a jaw-dropping $4,210 profit for $100 bettors on its top-rated point-spread picks.

The model made some huge calls on Championship Week, including nailing Ohio State (-16.5) against Northwestern and Oklahoma (-9.5) against Texas. And when it comes to all top-rated picks, the model has been red-hot, entering the 2018 college football bowl season on a blistering 45-25 run. This same model has also nailed almost 70 percent of bowl picks straight-up over the past three years. Anybody who has followed it is way, way up.

Now, the model has evaluated the latest 2018 Hawaii Bowl odds and simulated every possible play for Louisiana Tech vs. Hawaii 10,000 times. We can tell you it is leaning toward the under, but it also says one side of the spread cashes over 50 percent of the time. You can only see that pick at SportsLine.

The model has factored in that Hawaii’s potent offense starts with quarterback Cole McDonald. The sophomore has thrown for a blistering 3,790 yards and 35 touchdowns against only eight interceptions. He also nets a healthy 8.2 yards per attempt. His favorite target is wideout John Ursua, who has registered seven 100-yard receiving games this season. He leads the Rainbow Warriors in both yardage (1,343) and touchdowns (16). Gouging defenses for 15.1 yards per grab, the speedy junior creates matchup problems throughout the secondary

Hawaii’s offense, which averages 32.1 points per game, also stretches the field with wideouts JoJo Ward and Cedric Boyd. While Ward nets over 17 yards per reception, possession receiver Boyd is adept at picking up first downs in crucial situations. In his previous game against San Diego State, Boyd gained 140 yards and scored a touchdown.

But just because the Rainbow Warriors can pile up points doesn’t mean they’ll cover the Hawaii Bowl spread.

The Bulldogs can churn out first downs on the ground behind running back Jaqwis Dancy, who’s netting 5.6 yards per carry. Having found pay dirt nine times in 2018, the speedy junior can juke out of tackles and bound downfield in a heartbeat. Quarterback J’Mar Smith also makes smart decisions with the ball and has thrown for over 6,200 yards in his career. He’s tossed 14 of his 32 career touchdowns this season.

Yielding just 23.8 points per contest, the Bulldogs’ defense held opponents to 20 points or fewer four times thanks to a formidable front seven that can force heavy pressure on the quarterback.
